Export Address Book crashes every single time I use it! Please help!

This should not happen but nobody is perfect. If you encounter a crash please with your purchase receipt from Apple OR a zipped copy of the Export Address Book app attached to your message. It's likely that the bug has already been fixed, so that I can give you a fixed version of the app. It is also extremly helpful to provide crash reports:

  • In the Finder, hold down the option key (=alt) on your keyboard and choose "Library" from the "Go" menu in the menubar
  • Open the folder called "Logs"
  • If you see a folder "DiagnosticReports" please open it and search for any files related to Export Address Book. If there are any, please mail them to me.

The app does not work. A message says "You can't open the application Address Book Exporter because PowerPC applications are no longer supported."

This happened because you tried to launch the wrong app ;-). You have purchased "Export Address Book", not "Address Book Exporter", which was discontinued by the developer and does not work on Intel Macs.

Export Address Book does not "see" any contacts!

How do I import CSV files properly into Excel?

Can Export Address Book deal with large address books?

I have tested the app with 12.000 contacts and it worked with a MacBook Pro from 2009.
