Backup Contact Pictures only shows a "Access denied" page
Starting with OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, you must explicitly allow an application access to your contact database. Apparently, you accidentally have denied Backup Contact Pictures to access your contacts — as a consequence, the app cannot work at all. To grant access again, do this:
- Quit Backup Contact Pictures
- Launch System Preferences.
- Go to Security & Privacy > Privacy > Contacts and make sure that the “Backup Contact Pictures” checkbox is checked.
